California passed a law to allow undocumented immigrants to apply for driver license.
This reminded me many people from many states posted that they have difficulty or hassle to get driver license even they are on legal status. I think driver license is purely a document to allow a person to drive a vehicle or show a person's ID. People need to drive and they must have a license and it's in the interest of everyone on the road. Like the California gorvernor said
"Right now, let's not kid ourselves. People are driving to work," Davis said in a statement. "They're driving without demonstrating they know the rules of the road. They're driving without insurance. Everyone benefits by having drivers on the road know the rules of the road and presumably be a safer driver."
But for the past two years the driver license has been linked to too many issues and it seemed to become very dificult to obtain though not as hard as getting the green card. We all know the trouble if one cannot obtain a driver license. So if one has difficulty to obtain a driver license I urge them to write to the state govement and the department of motor and highway control to ask them to modify rules to allow people to apply for driver license and to issue the license in a timely manner to a driver who derserves it. It now becomes useless to write senators to speed up 485 cases but the case to get driver license people deserve should be made.
