Hi everyone,

For those of you who adjusted your status via I-485. I just wanted to know what other forms did you have to fill out before mailing the completed form to Nebraska Center

I know about the INS WEBSITE but i just wanted to get a feel from members of this forum on their experience and so on..

You asked which forms to send along the I-485, and I sent you right to the source. People's "experience" will not change the fact that you need to send those documents listed. Anything that is not on that list may be asked from you as a RFI/RFE *if* they decide they need it from you. Your answer is ON that page.

Here's what I sent them:

1. Birth Certificate (copy and translation)
2. Passport (copies of all pages with visas)
3. RTD (if you have any then copies of all pages with visas)
4. Medical
5. I485 application
6. Explanation of traveling outside of US (if any give dates and brief explanation)
7. Proof of being physically present in USA for 1 year (I got a letter from my employer)
8. I94 (all, copies of both sides)
9. 2 photos (requirements are on USCIS web site)
10. Money orders or personal checks
11. Asylum letter (final approval, copy of all pages)

What is this "medical" thing?

Ayyubov,

What is this "medical" thing? I am about to send in my I-485 for adjustment of status and I understood that we do not have to send in the medical, I-693 until it is time for adjucation? Has the requirement changed? Please response. And all others who can help please respond to?

I know you must have been asked this a million time, but what are *ALL* the things I need to submit for my adjustment of status? Do they all go to Nebraska? A few years ago, I remember you had to send a separate form to a different address? I don't remember the form now but has that changed? In the future when I get called for adjucation, besides the I-693, and presumably, fingerprinting, is there anything else that I need? Appreciate all responses and all advice, please.

check the USCIS webpage

It is important that you check the USCIS web page and send the documents required. If you send the documents that are imcomplete, the USCIS is returing back without processing your application. It seems like the they are saving the RFE and RFI process to speed the process.

In 2003 when I applied for adjustment it was a requirement to send medical with application. Now u have to wait till USCIS will request it.
