Hi Samir.

I understand you contacted Senator Miller's office regd. you AOS case.
What response did you get?

Actually even I contacted Sen.Miller's office 3 months back. And got a response from one Mr.Charles Spry that our(me and spouse) cases have cleared name check. Finger printing is scheduled but we should wait for at least 90 days to receive the finger printing notice itself. This did not make sense to me. So I called back but he said this is how far they can help.

FP ????

Respose from the congressman's office about the FP

Hi all,
I just received a letter regarding my request to a local congressman. The congressman's office got a call from the TSC that said my FP is pending on scheduler and I should get the notice within (or less) 90 days. How similar the response is with you guys!!!!!!!!!!! Do you think it will be really helpful. Pls make comments. Thanks!

NO: fp, raised a inquire three wks ago and got response today from the local congressman office.

Response

The response that I got looked like an email response from TSC to Senator's office. It looked like a printout of an email reply from Outlook with Mr.Spry details. Of course the necessary contact info was left out. In my case there was no call.

Peter2,
I got the same bullshit from local congressman that Tsc had queued my fp in the finger print scheduler.
This is bullshit man. Nothing is going to happen. It has been almost one and half month after this news. Don't know what to do. This is just to keep us quiet.

Thanks, SRM. Let's see what will happen in my case. I'll raise an inquire agian as soon as the offical date pass my ND.

Thanks.

NO FP

Srm

You might be correct. I received this msg from senator almost 50 days back.
Still waiting for FP's. I guess all the senator's immigrantion interns or their liasons with CIS have developed a consistent response strategy to silence all kinds of help requests from applicants. Tell them to wait for 90 days.

Hi, ND-July2002,
Let's keep this talk alive. We do have a similar situation. I guess at least when the official date approaches, we could call the senator's office again.

I was just faxed the reply that Sen. Miller's office got from TSC. They took two months to reply to his enquiry and it has been three months since.
I am not even trying any more; lets see when the approval comes, because there are no reasons at all for denial.

Samir

You are correct. The CIS office took 2 months to reply to the enquiry raised by the senator's office on my behalf. The message said as of August 24th we are in the FP scheduler and the wait time before I raise another enquiry on the finger printing is 90 days. Its almost 50 days now. No FP still. I smell a rat here. The senator enquires are nothing but an eye wash. I was encouraged by reading some success stroies of a few forum members. Wanted to try my luck. Before writing to the senator I had sent a couple of faxes requesting fp to CIS. No luck there either.

Senator Zell Miller and 90 days is a joke...

...because, his term is going to end in less than 60 days or so. Take it with a pinch of salt.

Thanks ND JULY 2002! Pls share with us again when you receive your one. Do you have an attoney at i-485. I raised this question because your lawyer might receive yours.

FP? (Congressman raised an inquire and a month passed)

The lawyer hasn't recd anything

I called the atorney's office this morning. They haven't recd. anything.

Will keep this post alive.

Fingerprint expired!

Hopefully not the case itself!
Finally a e-mail from TSC to Senator Zell Miller's office with the great discovery that fingerprints have expired and will be rescheduled..........WHEN?
I had reminded TSC by fax six months back, but have not yet drawn a response directly.
Another note to Poong---nar: Senator Zell Miller follows up continuously while other senators/congressmen dont bother to follow up and reply, my experience strictly limited to Atlanta/Georgia for the past five years!

Called Sen Miller's office

I spoke to the Immigration person at senator's office regarding I not receiving the FP notice while Spouse getting one. He said that he would send an email to his TSC contact. The reply could take upto 2 weeks. But he also alerted me that since the senator is retiring soon I should start taking up my immigration issues with Sen Chamblis/ Cong. Isakson.

He also said they have gradually started wrapping up their operations. Senator is officially retiring on the 2nd of Jan.

Did FP using Wife's Notice

This friday I went to Atlanta ASC and requested the officer that my spouse(dependant) had already completed her FP 2 weeks back and I was still waiting. Could there be a way for me to FP without notice?

He took my 485 receipt notice to the INS officer (there is one at the ASC) and after researching my case the INS officer came out personally to see me. She said that the A# on my receipt notice was incorrect. She gave me the correct A# and filled up a manual FP form allowing me to get FP'ed that day.
She said that my FP notice might have gone to the other alien whose A# appeared on my receipt notice.

No LUD changes (me and spouse) so far though.

This try turned out to be a fortunate for me else I would have never known that the A# on my receipt was not correct.

FP results sent to INS the same day

Called FBI a few minutes back. They said the results for FP(spouse and I) have been sent to INS. I do not see any LUD changes though.

Act 2 of the "wait and pray" play starts.
