For how long can I procrastinate the PR process

Can someone please tell me for how long Can I procrastinate the PR process? Say for example they send me the medical form and ask for the PCC, what would be the deadline to do so? Would this be a year or six months or something like that? In the tracker thread I have seen people actually turned in their medical after about year and a half from the day they were asked to do so.

Any information on this will be appreciated.

I had the same question, but in my case it's genuine that I have to wait for my PCcs and some other paper work. Can anybody help? How long can I send the Poloice Clearance Certificates and the Medicals, after I get the Initial assessment. Please respond.

I would personally never delay more than 90 days. When I immigrated to Canada in 1997, I had everything ready before I sent the application in. I was issued my visa in 16 weeks. Mind you, CIC loads were much lighter back then.
