Guys,

I have contacted the consulate regarding applying for follow-to-join for my wife and they asked for the original I-797 - Notice of Action. What is this document exactly? Is it the I-485 approval notice.

I-797 is Notice of Action, people call it NOA 2, NOA1 is the receipt.

NOA2 shows your receipt no., case type, both petitioner and beneficiary's name and approval date.
