 When does one have to get married (the latest time) for the spouse to be eligible for a follow to join . Till the day before the Approval date ?

Dumb question. .....

so, If I get a query now, can I go to my country, get married and then reply to the query (of course within the query time limit). After which, I can apply follow to join once my GC gets approved. Is this technically possible ?

what is this "follow to join" ?

my receipt date is around june , i am going to delhi to get married
.
i am worried if i may get my approval meanwhile before i come back with my wife.

pls explain me about this "follow to join" stuff

spoke to a lawyer.
if you marry before the approval date. you can come back to the country and file for your wifes green card and she will get it in 6-9 months.

if you can enter into the country with your wife on H4 you can file for an ammendment before the approval date

If you marry after your approval date then you will have to sponsor your wife for GC and that will take 4 - 5 years ....she will wait outside the country till then...

this is all assuming that your spouse is outside the country ...
