We are waiting for 485 approval for almost 4 years. We contacted congressman and congressman's office told us that my name is waiting on fbi name check.

I requested FOIPA and got a "no records" reply. What can be our next step? Please help. This is frustrating and painful.

Also, I can not talk to any person if I call 800 number. What is the easiest way to talk a TSC person?

Dial 800 then follow it, option to check status on phone.
Enter receipt no
1 - to confirm
after listening ur status, go for more option.
when it say "you have file Multiple applicaion" select this.
that would lead to TSC direct.
(if u heard error after SRC# then use any old SRC/EAD etc old one to get through) I did same when I system was keep telling try later.

Thanks. I talked to the lady using this procedure. She told me that my name check is pending background check. this is what I keep hearing for last few months.

Okay ,

Do u have copy of FOIPA ?


Send a Letter to TSC's Director (with personal attention). certified+ return receipt.

Along with ur 485 receipt, FOIPA (Notarized copy - u must),
Asking them to expedite.

I hope and believe u would get result soon.
