FOIPA letter

Hi Folks,

Wanted to let you know that FBI was very prompt in sending the "No records found" FOIPA letter to me. I had sent in the FOIPA request two weeks back and received it today in the mail.

I guess, I should now be enclosing a copy of the FOIPA letter in my future inquiry requests. Apparently, I am stuck in "routine security check".

I had followed Toxsci's template with some modifications for the letter. For FOIPA, I just filled-in the form available on the FBI website and appended a sheet with my former addresses etc.

Hi Aakash

By "form available on the website" do you mean "privacy_request.pdf"?
Did you have it notarized (as it says on that form) before mailing it in?

Your FOIPA letter

Hi,
Can you post what your FOIPA letter states? In my FOIPA, it says that "No records responsive to your FIOPA request wre located by a search of the automated and MANUAL idices"
 
I mailed my FOIPA request like 3 weeks back but I have not received any response yet? How long does it take on an average?
