FOIPA got NO-RECORDS. How to expedite Name Check ?

Hi friends,

finally I got my FOIPA request results from the FBI. It says "No Records for ya...". The sad story is that my name check is still pending. I know a lot of people requested FOIPA recently, but the question is How To Expedite Name Check If FOIPA Returns No Records? Anyone ? And where do you send those letters ? To Mr. Hooton or Mr. Hardy ? Is there any very good and valid common reasons for expedite request ? I know that my wife's name check returned No Records to USCIS, but mine is still pending even though FOIPA returns No Records, could it be a valid reason to ask them to clear my name check because of a long delay and taking into account that my wife's check has been cleared and my FOIPA returns no records ?

It's been 2 months after my FP results were received, and they already bypassed with the processing dates my ND date.

Thanks in advance and good luck to everyone.

my namecheck (and spouse) is pending since oct 2003. I received FOIPA with 'no record' and wrote a letter to Hardy asking to expedite my (our) namecheck, I mailed it in the end of Feb 2005, still waiting for response.

oh man, sorry to hear that. I hope they clear our name checks soon.

good luck.

P.S.

anyone has any answers on the post above and successfully got their name check cleared when used a FOIPA response as a reason ? thanks.

Name Check Expedite Experience

It took more than 25 months for my name check to clear although FOIPA request resulted in 'no records' letter. I used the 'no records' letter to send an expedite request to FBI in early march.. I am not sure if this helped or not but the name check cleared in April...

USCIS has a process to request expeditious name check. So your best bet is to try to convince them... Write to the ombudsman...seek congressmans/ senators and ask them to make regular calls to USCIS...every little bit can help

Also I learned that:
- FBI accepts expedite request ONLY from USCIS. Not the applicant, not the congressman/senator, not the attorney...
- FBI is no longer monitoring incoming faxes (a number was published in one of the forums)
- Types of checks involved with FOIPA response and security checks for 485 are apparently very different.

I had my finger prints done on 4/23/2005, 5/2/2005 finger prints result received , What does the message Finger result received means??????

Does it mean that FBI clearance and name check has been done!!!

Anyone please clarify

No

That message means that USCIS received the results of the fingerprints.. Name check is initiated separately and follows different process. You might benefit reading the FAQ thread up on the top by pingpong02. there is a lot of valuable information there.
