Hello

Does anyone know how long it takes to get response to a FOIA request? I heard different timelines - someone actually told me they sometimes take up to 2 years to respond to your FOIA request. Any input?

That's because you asked for a I-140 copy right ? Did you get a receipt notice from NRC ? If yes, after how long since you sent your FOIA form ?
I sent mine more than a week ago.

In cases such as asking for the whole A-File it takes 12-18 months as per NRC.

There are two tracks a simple and a complex one. Cases such as asking for a copy of a single application/petition approval notice go into the simple track, while ones like the A-File go into the complex.
