FOIA processing Time at NSC

Does anybody have any idea how long is it taking to process FOIA at NSC these days ? I filed it on Jan27th. Is there anyway to check the status on FOIA application ? Please help.

it is very simple. i have sent copy of I-485 & I-140 receipts alongwith the G-639 form. But, it is better to do search for "FOIA" in this forum for complete info. There is a search tab at top of this thread for easy search. I applied 3 wks ago. I have n't got any receipt from NSC yet.

FOIA Receipt???

Hi UN,

Did you get any receipt from NSC for FOIA application ? How to track the status on this application ? I called NSC about this. They said I have to wait one month after filing for any receipt/querys.

I am planning to file FOIA application to get my 140 case number since my employer is not giving it, Will it cause any delay or problem to 140 process.
Any help appreciated.
 
Hi,

I have faxed the Form G-639 for FOIA to NSC. My LUD for I-140 changed yesterday and today! Could the Form G-639 be a reason?

Appreciate your response.
 
do both if you know fax#

I tried to find the fax number in this forum. but I could not find it. I mailed the documents(FOIA) and got receipt in 3 weeks.
 
labor cert info

how much it costs for getting Labor Certification info using FOIA application.

I need to get labor details. please help :D
 
You do not have to pay anything upfront. USCIS will let you know if you have to pay any amount for making copies.

Hi,

Please advise me the following questions regarding FOIA.
1) what number I need to fill at Alien Registation# column in item 6 of FOIA.
2) Do I get all LCA 750A/B papers if labor is Substitute.
3) Do I get I 140 approved notice if my 140 is approved.
4) Do I get all of the above information, If I am not apply for 485.
4) a) Can I fill Petition or Claim Receipt with I140 receipt no, If I am not applied I485.

I have sent the fax and posted the original letter to the exact address as you mentioned.

Did your LUD of I-140 changed at all? Please let me know.
