Floating a company...

Hi, One of my friends has got his Green Card recently. He is planning to start a company of his own. He wants to know if it is legal to start a company while he is still with his current employer.

As long as his employer has no problem with it, it\'s fine

There\'s no legal problem as long as he\'s not violating any contractual terms with his current employer.

what needs to be done for starting a company?

I mean the minimum things that need to be done,i guess we need to take approval from the local county authorities ..anymore of those type of things ..
