Fiscal Year calendar VS Civil Year calendar

I need your advice on the calendar to consider when calculating the time spent abroad to avoid the revokation of my GC.
I am aware that I shouln't stay abroad for more than 6 month in a year.
But what calendar to take into consideration? the Fiscal year (1 oct, to 30 sept) or the civil year (Jan 1, to Dec 31) ?

You are being overly legalistic. There is no such "six months in a year" requirement. You need to spend time in the US consistent with residing there.
