First TN renewal

Hi,

I am a Canadian working under TN since last February. I have to renew my TN with the same company. Did anything get changed about TN rules/laws since last February? Is it the problem if I go 2 days before expiration for renewal? What is 3 years long TN?

Nothing has changed. you could have nad should have requested 3-year last yea, so you should do so this time, simply by including it in your TN letter.

My passport expiration date is in July 2012. If I apply for 3 years TN, can they reject me, and send me back to reapply for 1 year?
 
No. They might only grant you TN until july 2012, but will not reject your TN completely simply because of that.

They are not supposed to limit I-94 based on passport expiry, but they've been getting prickish about that, among other things.
