First Time H4 Requirements

Hello,
I got my visa revalidated from DOS, I am planning to go to Pakistan and get married.

1) Please let me know list of documents needed for first time H4 stamping.

2) If anyone here has experience with H4 stamping in Islamabad, I would appreciate if you can share your experience.

I have the similar case. I am going to Pakistan in July and getting married. I don t have a H1-B stamp on my passport.

Document requirement changes from consulate to consulate. e.g. Chennai consulate, India needs a bunch load of extra documents than Mumbai or NewDelhi and I think recently Mumabi also started asking some extra documents. So I would say check with the consulate you are going to attend first.

Base documents required are your H1B approval notice, underlying LCA, your (H1B holder's) passport copy including visa stamp pages, a marriege certificate, etc. Your employer's letter & your latest paystubs to prove your current status will be helpful too. I am not sure about the extra documents but I learned that Chennai consulate started asking lot of documents from employer's side for past few years. So again, check with the Consulate in Islamabad.
