Hello Friends

I came here on B1 visa in MArch 2001. I travelled twice to India on B1 and finally I got my H1 visa here in USA in November 2001. Since then I have not visited India.

My questions are

Can i go for stamping in Canada/Mexico?

What is the probability of my H1 visa been rejected?

What happens if my H1 visa is rejected, can i re-enter US on the old I-94?

If I call the consulate in Canada/Mexico, can they verify my papers prior to coming there?

Please help me in these querries. I will really appreciate your all response. If someone can share their or thier own friends/relatives experience, that will be of great help.

Thanks

Vicky

1.Theoritically yes U can
2. Chance of rejetion high, if your degree is not from US
3.If H1 is rejected, you have go to home country to try for H1 stamp
4.No

I got H1B approval from B1/B2 at Montreal, Canada.
Somobody also post same question before and then mentioned later that now law is changed that you might not get H1B stamping first time from B1/B2 to H1B at Canada. So see previous posting and ask them what did they do. In my case there was no problem and it went smoth. I did H1B stamping at Jan'02.
