First time entry time limit to US on a visitor visa.

Hey Guys,

My parents got a 5yr multiple entry in May this year. I was wondering if there is a compulsion that they have to enter US within 6 months of getting the visa? What happens if they don't?

I'll appreciate any valuable responses.

noi such restriction, they can enter anytime within visa expiry dates

They can enter the United State till the date of expiry on the visa.

In fact the visa is only a permission to travel from your home port to the destination port.

Actual visa is granted at the port of entry. While the visa in your passport may valid upto 10 yrs, you are normally granted permission to stay not more then 6 months at the port of entry.
