I am collecting the documentation to apply for PR.
Can somebody accept to be my menthor?
Also I have just one question. I am having an Ms in mechanical engineering in May, but I do have some years of experience and I did my undergraduate studies in french language. What should be my chances to get approval? First estimation, I have 80 points.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanx.

Need help here.....

Hello all, I am in the process of applying for a Canadian PR and am doing it through an agency. Recently I submitted all the required documents and I was told am good to go. My question is, how long does the entire process take? I mean, how long does it take to get your PR approved? Any help/input here is appreciated.

Thank you.

Canadian PR.. police clearance certificates required.

I am planning to apply for Canadian PR in near future and trying to collect all the documents required.

One thing I need guidence (or info) is the police clearance.

PR application states that all applicant above 18 yrs of age have to submit police clearance from all the counrty they lived for more than 6 months.

I have lived in INDIA( till 25 years of age) and then in UK for 2 years and now in US since last 4 years.

Can some one please guide me how to get this from all these countries.

I think for INDIA, I can get it from Indian embassy here in US.

Thanks in Advance.

Yes u need to submit police clearance from all countries except from countries listed in the Appendix. The Canadian consulate will get the Police Clearance from those countries. India is one of them.

U need to get a police clearance from USA & UK
in USA u can either go to the local police or from Motor Registration Authority. U need to pay a small fee of US$ 5 or 10. They will give u the finger print cards. Then u have to send the finger print cards to FBI office as per the address given in Appendix with a money order of US$18 per person. It will take approximately one month to get back the results.

Regarding UK u have similar procedure detailed in the same Appendix.

Good Luck

Hai
Everything is very clearly given in the Application and various Appendix. U have provide everything to apply which u can do easily by following the guidelines. Most of the issues are addressed even on this forum. So Use it.

So, there is no need to apply through any agency. They just take money only.

It all depends on from which country ur applying. For USA they are saying it takes approximately 8-10 months.

Good luck.

You should request the FBI to send the fingerprinting form

You can do FP in 2 ways;
1) Go to authorised private Fp agencies and get the FP done. they charge 20-30$. Then mail it to FBI.
2) Request the FP form from FBI, they send it in 2-3 weeks. Take the form to the local police / RMV (check if the motor vehicles dept. ,do the FP) get the Finger print on it and then mail the card to FBI. Generally, police carry a different FP form, which can\'t be used for Canadian Immi purpose. This is my exp in MA state. Check with the local police, before sending a request letter to the FBI.
All the Best!

When u go to the authorities u need to specify it is for canadian immigration purposes. Then u get the correct finger print cards. I am also from MA state, but did not face any problem.
