I recieved the following e-mail from USCIS:

Application Type: I485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status

Current Status:

On April 22, 2005, we responded to your request for more information concerning your case. If you have not received our response within 30 days from this date, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.


I updated the address recently (by phone) but never requested any info. I wonder what could it be. Did anybody recieve anything like that?

I've received something like that once and when I called them to inquire (I wasn't sure if someone else called in my name trying to mess something) they were not able to tell me any usefull info, like who called, when, what information was requested etc. I also updated the address over the phone shortly before that just like you but didn't request any info. I guess their system is not perfect so when they send you a confirmation notice for change of address it registers it as a response to a request for more info. Don't worry.

I, my husband and daughters received the same mail after we called to customer service in October, 2004. It was when processing time for very short time became March 30, 2000. Our RD was February, 2000 and of course I thought we are there. So the message like yours is computer generated without any information we are looking for.
