First Name Last Name interchange

I transfered my H1B from Company A to Company B. I got the H1B approval notice for Company B, and in that my last name is mentioned as my first name, and my first name became last name.

My Firstname is Latha and Lastname is Sunder (Latha Sunder). In the approval notice, my Firstname is mentioned as Sunder and my Lastname is mentioned as Latha (Sunder Latha).

How should I get it corrected? Other details(alien number, etc) are correct. Please help me. Thanks for your time.

First of all, I hope you have not mentioned your correct names, there is no need of doing so. You can just post in terms of ABC or XYZ where any sensitive information is required to be disclosed.

Your company attorney can get your names corrected.

Else, make copies of this new approval notice,previous H1B, your passport and drivers' license clearly showing your first and last names. Write a cover letter mentioning this mistake on the part of the USCIS and request them to correct it and send you the approval notice with the right names.

Are you sure,your H1B petition( I-129) was filled out correctly with your first and last names?

--- I think your company lawyer has messed up and lawyer filled wrong name on I-129 form your lawyer has the copy of form I-129 and LCA just check that, if it is USCIS mistake ask the lawyer to get it corrected.
