First EAD approved

Hello friends!

I received the following email from USICS today;

The following is the latest information on your case status

Receipt Number: MSC05XXXXXXXX

Application Type: I765 , APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION

Current Status:

On March 31, 2005, after approving your application, we ordered you a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready.

If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case status results listed above, or if you have not received a decision or advice from USCIS within the projected processing time frame*, please contact the National Customer Service Center.

National Customer Service Center (800) 375-5283.

*The projected processing time frame can be found on the receipt notice that you received from the USCIS.
*** Please do not respond to this e-mail message.

This was based on concurrent filing RD 02/13/05 ND 03/02/05.

Can anyone please share their experience on the timeframe to get the actual card from the date is was approved. I believe the card will be mailed from MO.

Your communication means your EAD is approved.

Now you will see a change in Last Updated Date. to either today's or yesterday's date.

next you will see another change in Last Updated Date (maybe 2 or 3 days later) when you will receive another email message saying your approval notice has been mailed. (your online status will also suitably change)

finally you will see a third change in last updated date (maybe the next business day) when you will NOT receive any email message (your online status will also not change.


I just went through the above changes on my application when my EAD was approved on March 25.

I anticipate there may be some more changes to the LUD till I see a status of "your card has been mailed" or something similar. Based on timelines of another person I know who did his processing in California (mine is in Vermont), I am expecting my EAD Card to arrive at home approx 10 Business days after the posting of the approval notice online.

We've got a second notification that the EAD card is issued and is posted about 3 working days later after the approval e-mail. Your card will be in your hands soon !

This case has been approved. On April 5, 2005, an approval notice was mailed. If 14 days have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283.

If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case status results listed above, or if you have not received a decision or advice from USCIS within the projected processing time frame*, please contact the National Customer Service Center.


Question - Is the approval notice mailed along with the EAD card? I am so worried and upset, because my company could not hold my position open any longer as I am on an extended leave. the deadline is April 14.

Can anyone please tell me whether or not the approval notice will have the EAD card?
