Hello. Asylum Officer did not grant Asylum after the interview so I was referred to a judge.

If anybody had a court, can you tell me what is it like?
Who has to speak more in the court: me or my attorney?
What kind of questions does the persecutor ask?
How many times can I appeal the decision and what chances do I have?
How to prepare for the court?
Does judge/persecutor have the notes made by the asylum officer at the interview?
What do I have to be ready for?
Thank you.

mine was sent to IJ too in 2005 and the first time it is just a master calender and u will be in a courtroom with everyone else and all they get is your name and tell yu why you are there and then give you a date for your private hearing. make sure you have a lawyer. my private hearing date was one year after the master calender. when i went to my private hearing, the fingerprints were not back yet so judge pushed it for another year then when i went after one year judge was not available so they sent me home and pushed it another year. finally got my hearing last yr march ..... i was so tired at this point and basically cried the whole time of the hearing. very intense. the state attorney asking some tough questions. I was granted asylum on that day. happiest day of my life.
