Hello,
I got fired from my job (I was forced to resign) on an H1B status.
The Visa was originally issued in March04 to Feb07.
How long do I have to find a employer and transfer my visa?

Please HELP!!!

Thanks,
I read the article which is about litigation. But I did not see anything on how much time I have to find another employer and tranfer my current H1B.
Please HELP!!!

Few days. If you find a new employer and file application for change then it might be approved without you having going out of US .If it is more than few days you might have ot go out and renter. On murthy.com there is some info I believe.

With in few days, "FEW DAYS" does not have any legal interpretation of how many days or any circular from INS,

What you did not get from the link is, once employer is fired you,

now they have obligation of informing to DOL and INS that you are no more employee of their company and your sponser ship with them cease to exist any more.

In this context, you will loose your status immediatly left with no time to change your sponser, previously employer never bother to inform such thing to any authority.
