Hi All,

Can somebody please explain to me the fingerprinting process, I have the following queries

1) How many times in the I-485 journey you have to do FPs?

2) What are the different codes for the fingerprints? Code 2, Code 3...what do they mean?

3) Is Biometrics just another name for final fingerprint request?

4) Most Importantly.....When you get final finger print request (called biometrics?) at that time has your case ALREADY been approved? or is it very close to approval?

5) Can you reschedule your final fingerprints to a different date?

Thanks,

Every 15 month.

Code 2 - one fingerprint, signature and foto
Code 3 - 10 fingerprints and all from Code 2

Now they call biometrics because it's not fingerprinting only. See 2.

Why do you think it's final. Never know. It can come anytime before approval or after it.

You don't know if it's final :) But you can reschedule any request if you want long delays and mess.

Hope it helps...

By the way, I don't know the time validity of biometrics. Old requirement for foto was it should be taken in last 6 month. So we can see request for biometrics every 6 mo :D

That would be fun man ... we will come to know the guys at ASC so well that they will not check our ID again...

Wonder how long that signature is valid ... ?

Approval indication

Is there any notice/ indication you get when you are close to approval like a month before?

Thanks.
