I and my wife did our FP(1) yesterday at Charlotte ASC. glrao, as you mentioned previously, the staff were nice and everything went off smootly.

Does any one know how long VSC takes to generate the 2nd FP notice?( By default I am assuming that every applicant in one way or other has to go through the agony of 2nd FP :eek: before their petition comes any closer to resolution)

2nd FP only if requierd

Most of the folks got the 2nd FP now had completed their 1st FP immtly after filling for the I-485... but in our case we got our 1st FP well after filling 485 (9 months)... so ours should be approved before the expiration of 1st FP...(15 Months from now)... so lets not worry about 2nd FP.. lets hope we get approval soon..

Hi Speedy1027,

Your thoughts are very Speedy (unnecessary), Your assumption is not correct. What i heard from Attorney Murthy (www.Murthy.com) is that USCIS has changed the way they process FPs now. They send FPs only when I-485 is ready for review and approval. This was done for the sole reason of not wasting the time and resource of the staff doing the same thing again and again. Please refer discussion with Murthy(Attorney) dated 08/30/2004.
go to www.murthy.com, click on link "Chat online with murthy" then click on "previous murthychat session transcripts" and then on 08.30.2004, then search for the following question "Chat User : My I-140 got approved. I-485 is pending for more than eight months and I still did not get a call for fingerprints. When can I expect the same?"
 
1st FP received

My son has nothing yet

I know there were several postings, when the dependants didn't get their FP.
What happened next to them? Do they get it later or I need to do something about it?

I live in Raleigh area but our finger Printing has been scheduled at Atlanta. Since Charlotte is going to be near from my home I want to go to Charlotte for this. Any advice on timing or day which day we should go and what time .

Friends,

I completed FP(1) on 09/10. I am planning to move apts at the end of this year. However, I am not sure if it would be a good idea to move (i.e., change address) at this stage of I-485 process.

Any words of wisdom/advice from the gurus?

U can goto charlotte office at any working hrs.. usually it is not crowded...Good luck.

I got my FingerPrint Notification on 13,September 2004. The date and appointment I see in that is 02, Septempber 2004.

What should I do now? Could you please help me.

Call (800) 375-5283 customer support. Choose option for reschedule your FP appointment. I believe Service rep can help you out on this.

Did you check your 485 stauts. Did it say "USCIS sent FP notice... you did not receive...update your address etc".

Try going for early FP. you never know. BTW u do have goodluck as your name suggests ;-)

Hi Neha,
Even i live in Raleigh,I have been scheduled for finger printing at Atlanta.Is it better to get finger print done in Atlanta or it dosen't matter.Any thoughts on this?

Gangadhar,

I went to CCBI office in Downtown Raleigh with finger printing appointment letter . They did finger printing without asking any question. I have heard that they are going to stop from Oct 1st. You can go there and give a try. The office is situated in 330 S Salisbury Raleigh downtown. Its Wake county Ememgency management office . There is CCBI office on 2nd floor.

It means finger printing appt date and time does not make any sense.
just clearing my doubts. Please elaborate.
What if they ask-- Why did not you come at specified date and time ?
