Hi everybody,
I will not be applying for removal of conditions until Dec. of this year, but there's something that is nagging me about it already - yes, you guessed it right, it's biometrics. I have already posted here that I had major issues giving fingerprints (apparently 15 + years of guitar playing and sweaty palms = no fingerprints) for my Conditional GC last year. In fact, my numbers were so bad (mostly in 40s) that I had second biometric appointment scheduled which also had failed in the end, after several unsuccessful attempts to obtain appropriate fingerprints. In the end I ended up having to obtain official paperwork from local Sheriff's office & Police Department showing clean legal record (no criminal/misdemeanor/any legal charges) for the past 5 years.
Now my question is, has anyone else had such difficult times giving fingerprints, so that you KNOW that it will not work in the future as well? By the way, the same thing was attempted at my current workplace during the orientation (as I work for the state) and in the end I had to be given a "secret code" instead of a biometric pass, lol. So what should I or can I do? I believe I need an official form from USCIS (given by IO) requesting the security clearance paperwork from Sheriff's Office/local PD, so that I can avoid having to drive twice for 1.5 hrs only to be told my fingerprints are "not satisfying". Anyone has any suggestions about the possible strategy to minimize frustrations & decrease the time spent on removal of conditions?
Can I ask the officer in charge of taking biometrics to provide me with this form so that I don't have to make a second (unnecessary) trip to DO?
Thanks in advance.........
