fingerprints clearance pending after 10 days – help!

how did you know from FBI that it is pending?

10 days ago I had my fingerprints taken (10 fingers - code 1 I assume). Today the FBI says the fingerprints check is still pending… I heard that the check is usually done by them the same day…
any ideas what could happen?

Well, to be precise it was not me, I went to our local office to check my fingerprints status (my case is there) after 10 days and they told me that they have not gotten a response from FBI yet.
