Fingerprints appt. received! Moving! Reschedule? Transfer?

OHNO!

Hi there!
I received the Appointment notice for the fingerprints today (I-485 & I-765)!! It will be in 2 weeks, but we will be moving to another State (hubby is military) this week.
What do I have to do now?? Do I call and reschedule? What number??Do I fill out a form?? How will it get transfered to the local USCIS center near my new home??

Thanks

I would get the Biometrics done first, at this place, if at all possible. Otherwise you may see a LONG delay on your entire process... to reschedule in this case will be a tricky thing, you need to file AR-11 and send back the appointment notice asking for a reschedule, but with an attachment explaining that you actually need a reschedule AND relocation...

When it comes to moving stuff, files, etc. from one state to another USCIS is known to be messy. So if you can, get your biometrics done and then file AR-11.

Thanks......this is not what I wanted to hear :(........
Now I was reading about getting the fingerprints & biometrics done earlier, than the scheduled date on the appointment notice!! Is it worth a trial (same USCIS Center)??
Or can I just go to another Service Center to get it done (no appt.), thats closer to my new home and then mail off AR-11??

Yes, you can certainly try to get your FP earlier; I know people who had success with this. Call and ask if there's a special time and day of the week when walk-ins are accepted. Or, just show up and see if they can accomodate you at that time.

Agreed. This is possible. But you would probably have better chances at the Application Service Center, where you already have an appointment for.
