Fingerprinting

Has anybody with recent I-485 application ( January to June 2001 ) got their fingerprinting notice yet ? We want to go to India for vacation in October 2001 but don\'t want to take the chance of receving our FP notice when we\'re gone. So we\'re trying to guesstimate the approx. date of receiving our FP. Any info is appreciated. My info is :-
 RD : 05/25/01 ; ND : 06/21/01 ; AP and EAD approved.
 
FP done recently...

My RD is 5/4/01 and ND 6/5/01
Received the FP notice in mail 7/12/2001
Fingerprint Done on 8/3/01, and I belong to NSC

My RD is 05/18/2001 and still waiting on FP notice. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your info. I guess my FP notice should be round the corner. One quick question - do I have a choice of the date that I get my fingerprinting done or do I get a pre-assigned date on which I HAVE to go ?
 
Finger Print...

In the fingerprint notice you will be given an assigned date from which the week begins. In that week you can go between anytimes during which the facility is open. If you miss that week, than you have few more weeks of time, during which you can go on a specific day. The notice will explain all. Just wait for FP notice. Good Luck.

Suggestion: Just check FP notices only for your local INS. FP notices are dependent on local INS schedule. Some places you get early and some places you wait longer (6-8 months).

They have no procedures. They just shoot something and if you are lucky u may catch it and if you are extremely lucky it will be an F.P notice. That is it.....
