Fingerprinting for Minors

Biometrics Again

FP(Code3 for wife and me) 12/5/06, I485 AD(12/19/06 for ALL)
LUD(for son(age 11) and me) 12/20/06, 12/21/06, 12/26/06, 12/29/06
LUD(for wife) 12/20/06

I received unexpected Notice for my kid and MYSELF from USCIS today(12/29/06). These are for another Biometrics(CODE2) Appointment Notice. My wife and I got biometrics(CODE 3) on 12/5/06 but my kid did not. And after 2 weeks, our I485(ALL) had been APPROVED. I understand my kid has Notice for CODE 2 based on this thread but why me? I already got Biometrics(CODE 3). Is there any problem to our case? Any idea? Please, share your experience with me.

Note that on his kid's cards, fingerprint appears.
Maybe USCIS have changed their policy? Or is it depends on the service center? Or maybe FP for minors is something optional that you should request from USCIS?

Neither of those. They happen to be served by a dumb USCIS/ASC employee. FP are not required for kids younger then 14. Unfortunately, many clerks in the USCIS don't know what they are doing. This is one of the many reasons this agency is in the dare state it is.
