Fingerprinted 9 years ago with a different identity

They picked it up off thier system, looking back I remember the officer collecting my documents asked me if I have ever been to the states just after I had my finger prints taken,so I guess my info showed up.

This proves the point I was trying to make earlier: that they do check the fingerprints!

Zabra,I'd suggest your brother just be honest. It's his best chance of getting through this. The most obvious way to prove he is the same person is his fingerprints, which is exactly why they check them!

My case is as follows so you get the full picture of God's glory in my life:

1) I played and won the dv lottery with the name jack john smith.

2) The name and date of birth on my current passport is john smith; 09-04-1986

3) When i applied in africa years ago my name was jack smith and date of birth was 09-04-1984

4) My high school diploma bears jack smith (so you see i presented an international passport bearing john smith from (1) above, thats a conflict right there)

5) I went along with a certificate from my medical school with both names reflected.

NB: that the place of birth on my previous passport and current passport is different

What i did was put up a newspaper publication in my country of origin and swore an affidavit both in my country of origin and my present country of residence. Baptismal card had jack jonh smith. Non of the documents were asked of me, i did however present the affidavit from my present country of residence to the officer collecting my documents and he said he believed i was the same peerson but he was going to collect just in case the interviewing officer needed anymore prove.

On my interview day the officer collecting my document asked about my name issue and i told him i chose my english name as i assumed my native name will be difficult to pronounce by foreigners. And then came the interviewing officer with just the single question...I know it is a miracle because she asked me to write a note explaining why i have 2 dates of birth, so it can be scanned along with my documents to the office issuing the green card. This was to prevent any further conflicts as to my actual date of birth and to the give any officer handling my files an idea that the issue had already been detected and resolved by someone prior

I hope i have been able to give you a clear enough picture as to my case and it is my prayer that your brother is able to gain from my experience.

With all these issues I still was successful. I am always left SPEECHLESS at the handiwork of God.

Also i sent a mail and called the embassy as to my name issue and was told that the consular officer handling my case would give me an answer on the day of my interview.

Hi Bro,
Once more thanks for your contribution.
Did you informed the KCC about your name issues or you just mailed and informed the embassy directly?

(To swear an affidavit of one and same person, you need to appear befor a notary. ).
In your case, did you
go back to your country of origin for your affidavit ? Or is it possible that a close relative (parents etc) can swear an affidavit acknowledeging that ,they know you as one thesame person with differents names?
