Fingerprint status check with FBI

Hello,

Is it even worth to check the status of fingerprint? I called FBI today about my wife's fingerprinting which was done earlier this month and all they could say that it was completed and transferred to INS. Does that mean it was OK?

They did not tell if the fingerprints were legible or not.

Did anyone check the status and have any ideas?

what's the FBI number that we can use to check the FP status?
and what kind of the infor do they ask for?
