fingerprint retaken

I took fingerprint on 01/24/02 at San Francisco office, on 01/31/02 I called FBI and was told fingerprint was sent to INS on 01/25/02.
Today got letter from INS ask fingerprints retaken on 02/13/02.
Does anybody has the simmilar experience? Will it slow down I485 apporval?

Had the same problem, may be because my finger prints were not clear.

I had the same problem. I had to go for fp for the second time, but even the second time my finger prints were not clear. I haven\'t received the results yet. When I called FBI, they said, finger prints were returned back to the INS on the same day as they were sent. I asked FBI representative what it means, but he said they wouldn\'t let me know about the results. Not sure what I may have to do if INS sends reschedule notice again. Even if I go for the third time, I don\'t expect to give any different finger prints. I have very unclear finger prints, with no proper pattern.
