I have a I-797C notice of action started on April 19 for
a fingerprint appointment for April 26th.
The thing is that I was only able to check my mail on April 22nd (hasn't arrived in mailbox) and the 27th (arrived maybe a few days back). This is really disconcerting because I hardly had any time to react. This seems to be an extremely short heads-up compared to the other notices of fingerprinting I've seen in the internet.
I'm very concerned because the notice says in bold letters: If you fail to appear as scheduled below or fail to request rescheduling, your application will be considered abandoned.
Does the rescheduling have to be done before April 26th, which was my appointed date, or can I do it after? My biggest concern is, will I be able to reschedule the appointment or am I going to have to start from the beginning again?
Has anyone been in a similar situation?
