Fingerprint rejected! What's next?

Hi everyone,

My wife is currently pending AOS. She has done fingerprint back in April. Few weeks, ago we received a reschedule of the fingerprint notice and she did the fingerprint again last week. The person who helped her to do the fingerprint said her fingerprint is not clear and the machine indicates it is poor. FBI might reject her fingerprint. If this is the case, what will be the next step? Will this delay the name check and GC interview? We have not received the interview notice yet.

Thanks in advance for everyone's help.

Panda, what does your wife do that makes her fingerprints to be so unclear? For some people, the kind of profession they are in and how they use their hands may cause their fingerprints to be worn out. I feel you should have been more careful to help your cause the second time you went for the fingerprinting appointment. I remember the people at the fingerprinting office in Dallas being very happy that my prints were good and easy to get, while complaining about some of the others whose prints took a long time for them to get correctly. Anyway, as far as I know, if the prints are rejected again, I guess your wife will be asked to get them done again. Just try to do whatever possible to keep her hands/fingers in good state. Delay in the fingerprints being accepted would definitely delay the GC interview, but I don't know how that would affect the name check (or not). A delay in the name check won't delay the GC interview, but the approval of GC itself.

Hi,
when I was for my fingerprints appointment back in January it took quite long time for the technician to take my fingerprints 'cause the prints would not appear to be clear. Then they were looked at by his supervisor and only after her approval they emailed it to USCIS. I spoke with the guy while he was squeezing my fingers, and he told me that it's hard to take women's prints as compared to men's ( wonder why??? ) and that it often happens that thay are rejected by USCIS and people come back to have it done again.
So, I think you and your wife shouldn't worry but go there again without any appointment and have somebody experienced do the job.

Good luck.

Panda...

maybe you doing the all the dishes till the fingerprinting is over may help... :p
