Fingerprint question

My I485 RD is 06/21/2002. My wife got a fingerprint notice in November and gave her fingerprints in December. I haven't gotten my fp notice yet. I went along with my wife and asked if I can give my fingerprints also. They said I must have a notice to give finger prints. Is this common? If so how long will TSC take before they issue a FP notice to me?

One more confusing thing - what is the difference between ND and RD?
 
IT IS USUAL

DONT KNOW WHEN THEY WILL OR CAN CALL YOU..IT IS NOT UNUSUAL THOUGH
nd is notice date and rd is receipt date. Once is the date they received and date receipt was issued
 
RD is the date when your mail is recvd and processed at the service center.
ND is the date when it is actually entered in the system and receipt notice generated.
