FingerPrint Notice - Receipt Date DEC 10, 2001

My Reciept date is DEC 10, 2001 and i received finger prints notice today...does it mean I will get my GC after this or what, I thought i would have to wait till 2007-2008...whats happening??
 
This is unbelivable,I don't understand what is going on,My recipt
date is in september,2001.
I never dreamed to get any finger print notice until 2007 or so.
but you never know with INS.
I started hoping something magical may happen.

Something must be happening, but doesn't it still take a couple of months to a year before you get your green card after the FP notice?

My receipt was dated June 2001. No FP notices yet...
 
sorry to brake your hopes, but this doesn't mean anything. Mine ND is Dec 1999 and still nothing. They are probably trying to account every asylee or they are double checking us. Bottom line is, they can approve only 10,000 cases a year, and if something major does not change, the approval schedule will stay the same. Anything in between is just a false hope.

This is just my opinion ...
 
Their schedule is not a reliable indicator. A year ago, they say that my ND will be processed in Oct 06-Sep 07, now it says Oct 05-Sep 06.
