Fingerprint issue for my mother

Hi all,

I have filed GC for my mother by filing I-485, I-130 etc at Chicago lockbox. Here is her timeline.

Notice Date (I-1485, I-130, I-765, I-131): 11/21/2009
Fingerprint scheduled date: 12/18/2009
FP Done walk-in : 12/15/2009.

We have now received a notice dated 12/21/2009 saying "The FBI was unable to process your fingerprint card. ... it will be necessary to have your fingerprints re-taken. This will be completed at no additional expense to you."

I am planning to take her for second FP on 12/31/09.

Does anyone else got the similar notice. Any experience with this. Please share.

It is not a big issue. Don't worry.

It happens when the FP's that were taken were not readable. This is common.

I have taken her for second FP yesterday (12/31/09). Keeping my finger crossed this time. I hope it goes thru.
