Fingerprint Expiry

Hello. I had my Fingerprinting done on Jan 11, 2002. My RD is April 2001 and I haven't received my Green Card. When would my fingerprints expire? My lawyer says "in 1 year" and that INS would inform me if my fingerprints expired. Is that so? Or would I have to contact INS and find out if the fingeprints have expired? Thanks. Santh
 
I thought FP expiry took 15 months.

Hi. Looking at everything you should have until 4/03, before your FP expires. Hopefully you will be one of the first to post your approval when things start moving in 3/03. If not you should get a re FP notice by mail and get approved within a few months thereafter. I have a feeling you will have a very happy new year in 2004.
