Fingerprint Expiration

Hi,

Does anybody know when does the fingerprint expires for the N-400 form? I have been waiting for my interview for more than a year now, I also had a change of address in between, and now my new service center notified me that I will have to appear for fingerprinting again.

Any experiences...

Thanks!

Hi,
Finger print is good for a year. One of my friend had same situation as yours. He was waiting for his interview for more than a year in NYC then he moved to Virginia. He had to take his FP again back in Dec 02, and since then he hasn't heard from BCIS. Please post your new & old service center as well as time line.
Good luck.

The finger prints remain the same. If INS wants it can request FBI for another
check. I don't understand why we need to take new finger prints?

Old Service Center - San Jose (This office screwed up my change of address process)
New Service Center - Nebraska

PD - June 6, 2002
FP - Jul 7, 2002

Rcvd Notice for another FP from NSC

Aug 17, 2003

......................................Long wait again now?

Could you please post your friend's timeline pl'

Thanks

:) Maybe because some people can grow new fingers? :)

That's a similar question I was asking myself why to get fingerprinted again if I got my fingerprints taken during the GC process.....
Some things are just there to stay, I guess;)
