Fingerprint distorted

Hello. I have been wondering if any of you were in a similar situation or know someone that was. I am a LPR. Shortly after my arrival to the US I had an accident where I almost lost part of one of my index fingers. It required several stitches to put it back together. Now I have a visible scaring on the palm area where the fingerprint is usually taken and I am sure the fingerprint is different. The only time I had my index fingerprints taken was at the US Embassy where my immigrant visa was issued and I was never fingerprinted again.

I was wondering if that may cause any troubles:
- on my return from abroad trip at the US POE &
- during naturalization process.

I appreciate your answers.

Yeah, I do :). I was just wondering if, since all that the CBP has are fingerprints of my index fingers, the damaged fingerprint of one of those fingers will cause any trouble at the POE. Would you advise bringing any medical bills for what happened?
Thanks
M
