I got my finger prints in 02/13/2002. I heard that the finger prints
expire in 15 months. If it is true, please let me know the procedure to apply for the renewal of the finger prints.

If I had to fill an application for the finger print renewal, is there any time frame for that?

fp expiring

you have to wait for csc to issue another fp notice. There
is no action from your side to be taken for this. My FP
expires on APR 17.

you dont need to do anything...

You could ask your lawyer to fax inquries to INS that might trigger an RFE or an adjucation.
Otherwise if the INS thinks you FPs are expired then they will send out another FP notice.

Call IIO for the re FP

My finger prints expire last month and I call IIO. After 2 weeks, they sent out a FP renewal of the finger prints.

tt tt,
If a case goes into adjudication does it mean that it will not be getting RFE ? You mentioned "it will either trigger a RFE or adjudication". Also, is this triggering event can happen only by sending fax ? How about calling BCIS once every week ?

Waiting to hear.

Thanks

SueHuang,
Thanks for the information.
I want to call IIO before my finger prints expire. I believe
IIO Phone number is 949-831-8427. Is this the right phone number..?

In my case..the lawyer's faxes got the case assigned and resulted in an EVL/paystubs/w2
rfe right away..since I was in the same job
I almost welcomed the RFE..replied back asap
and 2 months later got approved.
My wife's case was still on hold..I called
IIO 6 times in 2 weeks..telling them that
the primary got approved so the dependent
got to get assigned to officer..they said they
will file a request to officer's desk..
and 15 days later my wife got approved too.

hope that helps..

Thanks tt tt.
I have also managed to be with the same employer so far. Problem is if a RFE is generated, making the hr guy understand what it is and that it has to be responded and the attorney would charge a fee which has to be given by them (or me) ... would be a project in itself.
And, then they will start shopping for a law firm which will do the job for the lowest rate .... . Hope u understood the complexity of the problem in hand ... :)
