That was pretty quick. Which Service center and Where(State) do you live?

I would say its definitely a good idea to give a try for early FP. Also it depends on where and when you go for FP. If USCIS people are not too busy, then they will allow you for early FP.

But since you filed your i-485 very recently, It may not help you much if you do early FP. Anyway, try your luck....

Lets look at it this way you filed in Dec 2004 and got FP notice within a month.

I filed in 2001 and got my FP notice in Dec 2004. Since I think that my case took too long, I guess your case must be good.

Hi Guys,
Just checked with the attorney and got this message "CIS has been issuing fingerprint notices soon after receipt of the I-485, and it has no bearing on the processing time for your application."
So basically early FP really does not matter at all with the processing time. Hope this helps.
Thanks

What your attorney is saying is a standard reply. Look at this post, may open your eyes:

The reason I said it is good is that generally (not always), the people who start getting things like early FP and early 140 approval, get their cases approved in matter of few months. Yes, there is no gurantee that you will get your 485 approved in few weeks, but this opens up the possibility for that to happen. Read the posts from people who are waiting for FP notices since last 2 years, you will be able to appreciate what you got.

Hope this helps, and sincerely, Best of Luck!

Hi Eric,
My sincere thanks to you. I never said you are wrong. I really appreciate your help in this regard. Yes I am very much happy that I got early FP. Fankly I want my 140 to be approved as soon as possible. Reason my company wants me to work in India after march 31st. So I have to use Ac21 upon my approval. Your post give me some more hope as all the things have been happened to me after my company told me about my position has been transferred to India office. I read the post which you have mentioned Yes it may really good for me. FINALLY SINCERE THANKS TO YOU.

KK,
Good to know, now I can also understand why you are so eager to use AC-21. Hope you get your 140 approval soon. If they are planning to send you to India at the end of March, you may still not be able to use AC-21, as 485>180 days condition will not be met. Try to delay your departure atleat till June or plan on coming back for some reason. BTW, are they planning to send you to India permanently? or it is just temp. assignment for couple of months? Will they keep you H1 and continue your GC process?

Dude, Please note that you got to wait for 6 months (since applying I-485) to apply for AC21. This is one of the pre-requisite if you want to apply AC21.

Hi Eric,
Thanks for understanding my situation. Yes they are sending me there permanently but want to continue the GC process. I cannot delay my departure unless my AP delays. I want stick to this company until I get my 140 approval. My bro's company ready to hire me even before 140 approval and after 180 days of 485. So coming back to US I think is not a big issue as of now. The only thing I need is 140. Simply they transferred me from US to India. Its for for permanently. They are supporting me in most of the aspects in GC process but not 100%. Just want to believe on luck factor here. Most of the friends told me to leave the company and join on another H1. But I want to stick to this company as I have spent 3+ years on the process. I dont want to go this in vain. If they deny 140 at the most I have to stay there for 1 year and will comeback on new H1. So this is my plan. Hope you have patience to read this. Any comments suggestions greatly appreciated from you guys.
Thanks
KK
