Finger printing

Finger printing schedules (biometrics code 3) have been sent for me and my spouse, but not for my kid (7 years old). Is finger printing done for kids also?

My I-140/485 (for three of us) have been filed at the same time (sent in the same envelope) but the LUD shows the same date for every petition except for my daughter's 485 which is about 4 days later.
 
Minor kid(s) will get Biometric code 2

Your minor kid(s) will get notice for Biometric code 2, he/she has to go for index finger print , picture and electronic signature. Thanks.

I did not receive any notice for my 7 year old kid yet. Should I be contacting USCIS to inquire? My attorney says children under 14 are not required to finger print.
