Finger Printing Notice

Hi,
We had filed our 485 in October 2003 concurrently. 140 got approved. My wife received her fingerprinting notice and I have not yet received it.

We also did a change of address and it got updated on the INS website also. But my wife's finger printing notice went to the old address, but luckily I got it forwarded through my friend. I spoke with CSR now and they said that they have the new address on file and dont know how they sent it to the old address and couldn't help me out.

The best part is that, Change of address was received and confirmed on 09/15 by INS and they have sent the finger printing notice on 09/30 to the same old address.

Can I go for early finger printing in the new state where I am currently in? The finger printing office that is scheduled on the notice is my previous state.

Has anyone did finger printing in the new state where they are currently in, when they have scheduled in a previous state from they had earlier applied 485.

Can I do finger printing with my wife, even if I dont have the applicant copy.

Do lawyers receive courtesy copy of Finger Printing notices?

Can anyone clarify all the above questions and anyone similar to my situation?

Just FYI. It is not always true, it other words it is not a routine that lawyer also gets FP nptices
 
We had our finger printing done on 25th Sep. and its been one month now with no status update on USCIS website. I tried contacting them over phone & in person at the local office but their reply remains the same - 'they have not recd. the report from FBI, you may check back in 3 mths'

Friends, how long does it take for this status update? Is there anything I can do? Thx!
 
Incidentally my spouse had her FP done on 25th Sep. I called up the FBI line and they said that they have sent results on the same day. Incidentally her status is also not yet updated. I have not called the USCIS.

Completed Finger Printing

Hi,
I just completed my FP today for me and my wife. Was inside the APS at 8am and came out at 8.20am. Cool Deal!!

Gave a good note that the service was excellent!!
