Finger Printing Notice

How long does it take to get the finger print notice ?. Also , do we get any kind of letter from VSC or how is this done ??

My ND was 06.19.2003.
Received FP notice, dated 2.26.04 which was scheduled for today, i.e. 03.18.04.

this is not about me and i know it is too early for me to get into thease details based on my RD but thought it could be usefull for you guys and thats why i am interfaring here.

one of my friend got his FP schedule for next week, his rd is june 2nd 2003
