Finger Printing? 2nd time?

My Receipt date for I-485 AOS was November 2006. I had my Fingerprinting done in December 2006. Interview date : February 2006. Awaiting greencard pending name check.

I am reading information about people getting fingerprinted twice? I have not received any kind of notification from USCIS regarding a second finger printing.

Can someone explain what's going on? Thanks.

Also, how will it affect the new memo regarding name check? I just called the NSC and the lady said I would hear something by March 10th if everything else in my case has been cleared including FBI finger printing

Fingerprint results are only valid for 15 months. If it's been longer than this since your FP and your I-485 is not approved, expect to be fingerprinted again. The good news is that the second FP appointment is a good sign that approval is on the way.

I have the same timeline ( oct 06 I-485 AOS)..and I cleared BG check end of Dec 2007..so far no news from uscis..
 
I have not received a 2nd FP notice. I am just wondering what happens to those who have not received a 2nd FP notice with the new Name Check memo from february 2008?
 
I have similar timeline as you. My 1st Fingerprinting was done in Nov. 2006, I just got my 2nd FP notice. I guess your notice is coming soon.
