I was assigned to Oakland INS, CA, if the ASC means appointment service center.

FP Done!

I had an appointment on that day too. But I went yesterday. The officer asked me why I came early. I explained that 23rd is a holiday for me and I won\'t be able to make the appointment. She said "okay we will do it today, but you have to wait an hour. Next time submit an appoinment change request, if you can\'t make it!"
I had to wait only 20 mins.

Go early and say you\'ll be traveling during the holiday week-end

I had the same fp day, 11/23 @ SFO. I went early and the door person checked w/ her supervisor and said ok.

also, in Feb, somebody was scheduled for the President\'s day and found the office closed upon reaching it. I think that person went the week after.

Called INS customer service !!

Called INS customer service (toll free # appear on FP notice) to make sure ASC in EL Monte is open on 23rd. and IIO put me on the hold for a minute and said that ASC is open on 23rd.
