Financial Questions about GC

I am writing from Europe. There are some financial questions which I have.

1) Suppose I am coming to the US with family (with 2 children), seeking a job which suits to my qualification, but still dont find after several months a job. As a result, one day it could happen that I have no more money left. Is there a social security system or a assistance from the US government?

2) I have studied Business Administration. How and where can I find a job (which reliable websites/agencies?). Are the chances good to find a job?

3) Suppose I dont find a job after several months, perhaps I will go to my home country back for some few years. Can I still use the given Green Card to come back to the US after 3,5 or more years?

4) For getting GC visa I have to show proof of funds. What is the minimum funds which I have to show to the embassy (we are a family consisting of husband, wife and 2 small chidlren)?

5) I have a far-relative in the US. If he makes a affidavit of suuport, is that enough for showing it to the embassy? Which form is correct? I-134 or I-864?

6) After how many years can I apply for US citizenship? Can I bring later easily my relatives to US if I am GC holder or US citizen?

1. From what I've read the social security system isn't as generous as it is in Europe. In the beginning, you may be better off taking any job you can get to pay the bills until you find something more suited to your qualifications. Also, if you do claim social security before you become a US citizen, you could leave yourself open to deportation, since they don't want GC holders to become dependent on the US government for subsistence.

2. If you'll be heading to the USA in the coming months, you could expect it difficult to find a job considering the way the economy is right now. I'm not sure where the best places to start looking for jobs are, but I guess looking through local newspapers for vacancies would be a good start. Craigslist or monster.com wouldn't be bad places to check either.

3. As a green card holder you would be expected to live in the USA as a permanent resident would. In other words, you should spend most of your time living there. If you don't live in the USA on a permanent basis, you risk loosing the green card altogether.

4. The poverty guidelines are here. How much you need depends on where you want to move and how many people will be going with you.

5. As far as I know, the I-134 is the correct form for the diversity lottery. Tbh, it depends on the IO if this is enough. It wouldn't hurt to show your own funds too when you go for your interview.

6. You need to wait five years before you can apply for citizenship. As far as I know you can only sponsor relatives when you become a citizen.

you have lot of question i'm gonna try to give you some advices
get in touch with your far relative in the usa he may help you we all received help and assistance from friends or relatives when we come
try to find as many as frinds or relative who can help you to came here find a decent house near your community meaning people from your contry dorigin who lives here close your church mosk or temple depend on your relegion usualy people help the new comers find any job to pay your bills ( gas station convenient store , construction food sales ...... ) any thing it's calles job and no shame doing it even if you are phd or master.or or .....
don't think you gonna be the first day a business manager you gonna be one day it depend how fast you get into the system and how fast you learn
just be open to anything and contact your friend or relative it looks hard in the begining but with help and passion you will be fine
i was one day like you 2 kids wife bachelor degree in management and business i worked as a sales person in one company for 2 years then manager in a store in the mall then business owner in the mall but it needs passion and hard work now after 10 years i'm thinking to go back for master
look to make living first setle down regular house , get you driver licence , small car so you can drive if you have to ......
don't thing about social security you will not need it if your you leave you options open to any kind of job
