Finaly i did it

I can see that you had police clearance from TZ and UK and probably because you lived in both countries.

My question is, my wife spent 9 months in Kenya. Does it mean that she needs police clearance from there too?

Thanks

Technically according to DV rules/regulations:

If your wife was over the age of 16 and lived in a different country for 12 months or more (straight or accumulated over time) then she would need a police certificate from Kenya.

As your wife lived in Kenya less than 12 months, she would NOT need a police certificate.

Personally I would take one anyway just in case, better safe than sorry :)

Momo thank you very much for the info. Just it is better to get one from Kenya but is it possible to get it while living in other country or I need to go there? an online application is possible? Kenyans can help on this

Yves04, this is what I got about Kenya police certificate:

If you are not a citizen of Kenya

Present an original or a certified copy of your passport with documentary proof of residence in Kenya
Pay the fees of KSH 1000
All applications should be submitted to:

Divisional CID offices for the area where you live in Kenya

OR, if you do not live in Kenya,

Criminal Investigation Department Headquarters
Mazingira House, Kiambu Road
Nairobi, Kenya

Thank you Matap. Actually my wife was the for 9 months and this doc is requested in case someone was abroad for 12 months. So it's just precaution.
